The Cleveland Browns and their business partners bought out the remaining tickets for this Sunday’s Browns vs. Raiders game to avoid a blackout.
This is the third time this year the Browns have avoided their home games not being televised locally.
The first two were a Monday night game vs. the Ravens and a game vs. the Chargers.
Tickets not sold will be distributed to charities in the Cleveland area. This being the third game out of seven that realistically were not sold out, means the fans of this franchise are sending a message, they are not happy, despite a surprising two game winning streak.
With news that Mike Holmgren is coming to town and will be given the title of team president, there definitely will be shake ups, both in the front office and on the field.
Eric Mangini will no longer have the final say, so say goodbye to the clan of former Jets players he brought with him.
Holmgren prefers the west coast offense which favors Brady Quinn’s weaker but more accurate arm, when compared to Derek Anderson.
If Holmgren forces who ever is the head coach to run the west coast offense, Brady will be our future starter. After Sunday the Cleveland Browns have one more home game vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars, and as of now that game is not sold out either.
The last game blacked out for Cleveland fans were in 1995, the last home game of the old Cleveland Browns.
